Agrometeorological conditions

Weather maps

Purpose: Planning of agrotechnological work and timely response to negative natural processes.

Temperature and humidity, precipitation, pressure extrapolated on the base of actual meteorological data.

Maps of thermal plant growing conditions

Purpose: Evaluation of thermal resources during whole vegetation period and specified intervals, air temperature anomaly detection, identification of impact of natural phenomena, evaluation of favorability of agrometeorological conditions.

Air temperature maps: average, minimum, maximum value, absolute minimum and maximum, norm, deviation from the norm calculated by days, decades and months

Moisture conditions maps

Purpose: Detection of anomalies in the amount of precipitation, humidity, evaluation of dry periods duration as well as periods of excessive moisture, monitoring of negative events which break normal formation of crop, evaluation of favorability and agrometeorological conditions during the year.

Humidity maps: average and minimum relative humidity according to regular meteorological observations calculated per day, decade and month.

Precipitation maps: layer with values of precipitation amounts for a given calendar period (day, decade, month) calculated for the network of weather stations.

Snow cover maps

Purpose: Monitoring of distribution and duration of snow cover. Monitoring of moisture reserves needed for plants.

Mask and percentage of snow cover: daily product with spatial resolution of 500 m accumulated for decades and months.

Maps of snow cover duration: generated from daily mask of snow as the sum of days when the area was covered with snow. The product is calculated by decades and months.

Normalized difference snow Index (NDSI) : coverage of the area with snow according to remote sensing data.

Light conditions maps

Purpose: Planning and science-based agriculture with regards of radiation regime and impact of the relief on distribution of solar radiation.

Maps of potential photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), maps of light and slope exposition: calculated by digital elevation models (DEM) of various detailization.

Relief

Maps of absolute altitude

Purpose: Regional DEM is intended to determine common features of the terrain as well as identify zones of potential land resources degradation. Local DEM allows to trace geomorphological inhomogeneity and develop an optimal strategy for land use.

DEM: each cell corresponds to the value of absolute altitude. Regional level corresponds to DEM with grid spacing of 30 m, local - 10 m or less.

Maps of steep slopes, vertical and horizontal relief compartmentalization

Purpose: Assessment of suitability of terrain relief for a particular type of land use, assessment of direction of real transfer, including surface runoff, as well as the nature of development of exogenous processes in general.

Morphometric relief measures: are calculated by DEM of regional and local levels and represent raster of surface of steep slopes indicators, horizontal and vertical compartmentalization. Maps can be generated for local and regional DEM of 30 m and less than 10 m.

Soils

  • Maps of linear erosion and plane washout

Maps of linear erosion and plane washout

Pupose: Planning of anti-erosion measures, development of recommendations for soil cultivation and fertilization.

Products of linear and plane erosion: are calculated by DEM of local and regional levels. Spatial resolution of product is 90 m and less, depending on details of DEM.

Maps of hydromorphous soil cover

Pupose: Highlighting of areas of potential waterlogging and crops waterlogging.

Maps of hydromorphous of soil cover are generated on the base of morphometric analysis by calculating topographical humidity index on DEM. Spatial resolution of the product - 90 m or less.
